Shabbat Youth Groups Starting!

Join our youth groups every Shabbat (unless noted in the weekly shul newsletter) during Shul for children ages 2-9 years old. The groups will include davening, playtime, learning, and snack. These groups will begin at 9:00 AM and end at approximately 11:00 AM (or whenever Shul ends). The idea behind these groups is to create an educational and fun environment for your child(ren) while allowing you, the parents, to focus on your davening. The youth groups will meet in the Adelman’s residence. For further information or to let us know your child(ren) will be attending, please email either:
Elena Schoenfeld at elenaschoenfeld@hotmail.com or Hannah Bet-Hormoz at bbgungirl145@gmail.com.

Shaimos Event

From Rabbi Adelman:

Please join us for the YIH "Shaimos Event". As you know, unwanted objects which have kadusha must be wrapped in plastic and buried. Examples: tefillin, tefillin bags, mezuzos, mezuzah covers, and seforim. Please gather your shaimos, and invite friends and family to do the same. This will be an opportunity to dispose of the shaimos items properly, as well as a fundraising event for the shul. The suggested contribution is: $20 for up to 10 lbs. of shaimos. The exact date and place will be announced soon, let me know how much shaimos you have so that the size of the burial site can be planned appropriately. "Shaimos Guidelines" by R' Heinemann can be accessed via star-k online, kosher consumer, kashrus kurrents articles, search: "shaimos". If you are still unsure about what constitutes shaimos, call me.
- R' Adelman
